SharePoint Archiving - What, Why and Where?

Great article Andrew, In the current version the archiving may be justified because of BLOB and if you need to retrieve a single document its a pain. But in SQL server 2008 when blob could be stored on a file share, I wonder if the archiving would still remain as prominent as it's today. Archiving vendors will have to come up with new value prop. ThanksSheetal
